          22nd annual Cruisin' Ocean City 2012 Getting Ready For Action on May 17-20

(Ocean City Maryland) - The east coast's largest city-wide automotive enthusiast event festival returns to the eastern shore on May 17-20 for the 22nd annual Cruisin' Ocean City 2012.

The Cruisin' Ocean City special guests are a mixture of yesterday and today, headlined by Liz Choate, the 'Gator Queen' on the History Channel's popular Swamp People television series. 

She will be joined by Mike Lookinland, who played "Bobby Brady" on the classic 70's TV show The Brady Bunch. Liz Choate will be live at the event's Beachside Inlet on Friday May 18 from 10AM-12PM and 1PM-3PM. Liz will be at the Ocean City Convention Center on Saturday May 19 from 10AM-12PM and 1-3PM. Mike Lookinland will be at the Convention Center on Friday from 11AM-3PM, and at the Inlet on Saturday from 11AM-3PM and Sunday from 10AM-12PM. 

For the first time in Cruisin' Ocean City history, the event will be featured in Autoweek, one of the largest automotive publications in the world. The Autoweek staff will be in attendance, as well as noted automotive writer and photographer Chuck Vranas, who will be covering the event for a variety of Source Interlink titles, including Street Rodder Magazine's www.streetrodderwebcom.   

The activities kick off on Thursday morning, with the Cruisin' Ocean City Boardwalk Parade. As many as 750 of the hottest rides on the entire east coast will be rumbling down Ocean City's classic wooden boardwalk. The boardwalk parade will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday   at 8 AM, and is one of the most unique and dazzling automotive spectacles to witness in person. 

The fun continues every day with live DJ Mike Wilson playing the best songs from the last fifty years at the Beachside Inlet, while DJ Tim Beasley will do the same at the Convention Center. There will be daily on-stage special features, pop trivia games with great prizes and give-aways. On Sunday May 20 at 2PM, the Cruisin' Ocean City closing ceremonies will include the popular national sponsor awards, with local dignitaries, city leaders and surprise guests in attendance.   

Additional Cruisin' Ocean City event activities include a collector car auction at the Convention Center on Friday May 17 and Saturday May 18. The Convention Center will also be the site for a charity auction on Saturday that will benefit the Special Olympics. On Saturday night Hooper's Restaurant will feature the Golden Touch Band, with free admission for all event badge holders.

The 22nd annual Cruisin' Ocean City event sponsor lineup will feature many of the biggest automotive aftermarket and consumer products in the nation. Returning event sponsors AAA    Mid-Atlantic Insurance, Billet Specialties, Bimbo's Extreme Gloss, Chevrolet Performance, Flowmaster Exhausts, Flaming River Industries, Holley Performance Products, Meguiar's Car Care, Miller Electric Welding, Performance Automatic Transmissions, Mr. Gasket, Right Stuff Disc Brakes, Slide- Lok Garage Systems, Summit Racing Equipment, Tremec Transmissions and Uncommon Industries are joined by eleven new companies: Demon Carburetors, Fluid Film Spray Lubricants, Gold Key Resorts, House of Kolor / SATA, KC Green Solar Electric, Lucas Oil Products, Roush Performance, Royal Purple, Speedway Motors & Wiley X Protective Eyewear.

The tuner lifestyle event schedule for 2012 kicks off when the 11th annual Ocean City Car & Truck Show roars into Ocean City's Convention Center on June 9-10. Up to 1,000 cars and 25,000 event spectators are expected. This event features the most popular performers in urban and hip hop musical entertainment that will blow the roof off the Convention Center for two days.

On October 4-7, Ocean City's Beachside Inlet and Convention Center come alive for the 15th annual Endless Summer Cruisin'. Up to 60,000 event spectators and 2,500 of the baddest cars on the east coast will all descend on the eastern shore for four days of automotive mayhem.
